Redwood Systems
What Does Redwood Do?Redwood Systems has developed the world’s only commercial lighting control network with a built-in building intelligence platform. The award-winning system provides proven, best-in-class energy cost savings, contributes significantly to LEED credits, and is used by such world-leading companies as Facebook, SAP, Volkswagen, and Google. Redwood’s high-density network of sensors enables smooth per-fixture dimming, one-button daylight harvesting, and highly accurate activity sensing for occupancy-based lighting policies. The sensors also provide data about how workspaces are utilized, heated and cooled, enabling building owners and operators to minimize overall building operating costs while enhancing employee and workspace productivity. How Does Redwood Do It?Redwood’s patent-pending technology turns lighting into a digital application on the corporate network that can be easily powered, controlled and monitored cost-effectively. The Redwood Engine is the core of the system. It efficiently converts AC power to DC in one central location. The system then delivers low-voltage DC power and control to light fixtures through class-2 wire, reducing the cost and time of installation. The Redwood Adapter contains sensors located next to or in every light fixture. They constantly report on an ever-expanding list of environmental data that includes light levels, temperature, occupancy data, and actual power consumption. The Redwood Manager is Web-based software that serves as the control interface to easily commission lights, set lighting policies, activate demand response or daylight harvesting, and access reports |
